SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Officers from the Springfield Township Police Department arrested and charged 48-year-old Keith Morris of Shadybrook Drive with one count of rape involving a child.

According to a press release, the 7-year-old victim’s parents noticed signs of physical sexual abuse.

Morris is a family friend of the victim.

He was questioned by detectives and admitted to the allegations, according to police.

Springfield Township police say they are also investigating another report from someone who says they have information about Morris.

Sgt. Eric East with the department says given Morris’ age there is a possibility of other victims.

“Any time that you have a case like this you want to make sure that there aren’t any other victims out there that just haven’t spoken up or the allegations haven’t been discovered yet,” Sgt. East said.

Morris is in the Summit County Jail on $1 million dollars bond.
