SOLON - Police in Solon have identified the woman killed during a crash and shooting that happened Saturday morning.

Deborah J. Pearl, 53, of Twinsburg, was killed after a 29-year-old man shot her.

According to police, Pearl was traveling north on Richmond Road and as she entered the intersection at Solon Road, a 29-year-old man went through the red light, striking Pearl's car.

The suspect's car rolled several times.

After both cars stopped, the suspect got out of his car with a rifle and shot Pearl from the passenger side of her car.

She was taken to a local hospital where she passed away.

The suspect is in custody and charges are expected to be filed soon.
