Akron and Canton were hit especially hard.
Hundreds of schools were closed or delayed.

The following snow emergencies are in effect:
— Ashland County: A Level 1 Snow Emergency is in effect for Ashland County.
The following parking bans are in effect:
— Akron: A parking ban goes into effect at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
— Canton Township: A parking ban is in effect through 12 a.m. Wednesday. Drivers are asked to remove all vehicles that are on or near the roadway.
— Cuyahoga Falls: A parking ban is in effect through 6 a.m. Wednesday.
— Kent: A parking ban is in effect until further notice.
— Stow: A parking ban is in effect through 7 a.m. Wednesday. The ban prohibits drivers from parking cars on city side streets.
— Plain Township: A parking ban is in effect through 8 a.m. Wednesday. Residents should park cars in driveways, off of roadways.
— Ravenna: A parking ban is in effect through 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
— Tallmadge: An emergency snow parking ban is in effect until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
