Several parking bans and snow emergencies are in effect after several inches of snow fell overnight.

Akron and Canton were hit especially hard.

Hundreds of schools were closed or delayed.

The following snow emergencies are in effect:
Ashland County: A Level 1 Snow Emergency is in effect for Ashland County.

The following parking bans are in effect:

Akron: A parking ban goes into effect at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Canton Township: A parking ban is in effect through 12 a.m. Wednesday. Drivers are asked to remove all vehicles that are on or near the roadway.
Cuyahoga Falls: A parking ban is in effect through 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Kent: A parking ban is in effect until further notice.
Stow: A parking ban is in effect through 7 a.m. Wednesday. The ban prohibits drivers from parking cars on city side streets.
Plain Township: A parking ban is in effect through 8 a.m. Wednesday. Residents should park cars in driveways, off of roadways.
Ravenna: A parking ban is in effect through 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Tallmadge: An emergency snow parking ban is in effect until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
