CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double homicide that ended in a SWAT standoff Saturday night.

Officials say a 27-year-old man shot and killed a man and woman inside a vehicle in the 7500 block of Andrea Drive in Concord Township.

The woman was found with a pistol between her legs.

First responders say both victims were dead on scene.

Officers also responded to a home on Oakridge Drive at 11:03 p.m. for a possible barricaded subject.

The subject, later identified as the double homicide suspect, was inside the Oakridge Drive residence with his parents.

The man’s father exited the home and was on the phone with the suspect’s mother who refused to leave her son by himself.

The SWAT team was able to negotiate with the 27-year-old and get him out of the home. Officials say he exited the home with his hands up and surrendered.
