CLEVELAND- For most pet lovers, their four-legged companions are considered family and for one local photographer even her best friend.
When Maria Sharp noticed her beloved dog, Chubby’s health declining she wanted to do a special tribute to her.
Chubby was by Maria’s side for 16 years. Maria posted on her website that when she was 7 years old, they got Chubby from a pound.
Maria said Chubby just isn’t a dog. She is her best friend.
“I know how important it is to preserve memories and time with loved ones, and this shouldn’t just apply to humans,” Sharp told Mashable
According to Maria’s blog on her website, Chubby’s health started declining a few year ago and she suffered from many ailments including cognitive dysfunction (Alzheimer’s for dogs.)
Maria decided to create a portrait session she could cherish for year’s to come. Shortly after the session, Chubby passed away.
She had fellow photographer Suzanne Price take the pictures that captured the incredible bond between Maria and Chubby.
Maria will always look back on the special memories and pictures of her four-legged best friend who never let her down.
