1 Critical, 4 Stable After Car Rams Crowd

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Several people were injured Friday night when a vehicle rammed a crowd gathered to honor the victim of a fatal hit-skip.

It happened at about 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Market Street and West Hylda Avenue, said Youngstown police.

A large group of over 20 people were there for a vigil to remember a man who died in a hit-skip early Sunday.

A vehicle approached the group, said police, turned its lights off and drove in to the crowd. The suspect then drove away, said police.

Five people were taken to the hospital, said police. As of Saturday night, four of the victims were in stable condition and one victim was in critical condition, according to Youngstown police.

No arrests had been made as of Saturday night, said police.
