It’s a Fox 8 tradition. Each year, Patricia McMillian, her daughter, Keisha, and other family members stop by the studio to talk about Kwanzaa.
Kwanzaa is a celebration that honors African heritage in African-American culture. It is observed from Dec. 26 – Jan. 1. It’s a time to reflect on the seven principles including: unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.
The McMillian family hosts a community celebration on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 5pm at the South Euclid Congregational United Church of Christ. For more information, click here.
