Second suspect charged with murder in Lyndhurst native’s death in Washington D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A second suspect was arrested Thursday night in connection with the murder of Lyndhurst native Matthew Shlonsky.

Andre Dudley, 19, was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder, according to Fox 5 D.C.

Shlonsky was killed in a drive-by shooting in August 15 on Seventh Street Northwest in Washington, D.C. Police said they do not believe he was the intended target.

The 23-year-old interned with U.S. Sen. Rob Portman. He was a graduate of Brush High School and American University.

Another suspect, Marcus King, 19, turned himself in to D.C. police on August 21.
