Scammers target Bay Village residents by posing as Microsoft technicians

BAY VILLAGE, Ohio- Police in Bay Village are warning residents about a person posing as a Microsoft technician.

Several people reported the scam phone calls to Bay Village police last week.

Police said the scammers are trying to install software onto computers and steal personal information by claiming they work for Microsoft. The department recommends not trusting unsolicited calls.
