SANDUSKY – A Sandusky man was arrested Saturday after police say he tried to break into a home and damaged a rental car with a shovel.
When police arrived at the scene on A Street, the homeowner Sherria Page told police that Cash Brown was intoxicated and became angry when she wouldn’t let him inside. She then said he proceeded to repeatedly smack the locked door with a shovel and then hit her rental car with the shovel as well.
Police attempted to speak with Brown, but they say he was uncooperative.
After police spoke to Page, she said that Brown only lives at the residence on weekends. Police had been called to the home before and said they knew that Brown lived there more often. Police then told Page she would need to get Brown evicted if she wanted to keep him out of the house.
The shovel was found nearby with paint on it matching the car. The car also had several dents on it.
Brown was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damaging.
Brown told the officers there would ”be hell to pay when he gets out” after he was placed in the police car.
After that statement was made, a judge decided to hold Brown without bond. He is currently at the Erie County Jail.
