CLEVELAND, Ohio -- RTA buses could resume service through Public Square on Monday, March 6.
RTA posted on its website that officials from RTA, FTA and the City of Cleveland continue to work closely to reopen Public Square to buses as soon as possible with a target date of Monday.
RTA said with this change some bus routes will follow different paths through Public Square and bus stops may be modified or moved.

The Federal Transit Administration told the City of Cleveland they either needed to open up Superior Avenue to bus traffic or pay back $12 million.
They say the closure of that small stretch of road violated an agreement they had when renovations were done last year.
City officials have argued there is a major issue to consider which wasn’t as much of a concern when they made the deal for the federal money back in 2004: potential terrorist attacks.
