Rocky River police arrest suspect in connection with paint dumped into river

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Rocky River police arrested a suspect Sunday in connection to a paint-like substance being dumped into the Rocky River.

The Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District has identified the substance as liquid pool liner.

Officials say the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Coast Guard are aware of the situation.

This incident is still under investigation. FOX 8 will provide more updates as they become available.

Editor’s Note: City officials originally told us the liquid was dumped into the lake.  It was also previously referred to as paint, however officials have since identified the substance as liquid pool liner.
