CLEVELAND- Media outlets from around the nation and the world got a chance to look at the set-up for the upcoming Republican National Convention.

An estimated 15,000 members of the media from the major networks to bloggers will be covering the convention and they toured the two venues that will be at the center of it all.

The main stage will be at Quicken Loans Arena and they got a chance to see where they will be able to set up in boxes and on the convention floor.

The other venue is the Convention Center. That will be home to news sets and work space.

One of the big issues for many is security.

Will journalists and others be safe and will it be easy to move from one venue to another through security zones?

“We are 100% confident in our security plans.” RNC Accomodations Committee Chairman Jeff Larson said. “The security area around the different venues will be one of the safest places in the country to be.”

The RNC says there will be special shuttles for journalists to take them between venues to get them through traffic congestion.

Larson and other officials say that many aspects of the convention are still coming together and they will have more updates later.
