SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) — Sixty-four people anted up around $10,000 for LeBron James’ charity for the privilege of getting the first ride on a new roller coaster at Cedar Point.
The Sandusky amusement park and the LeBron James Family Foundation teamed up to auction off spots on the first public run by the Rougarou coaster and together they raised $126,000 dollars.
The park and the foundation partnered after Cedar Point officials offered to rename a coaster when James returned to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Instead of renaming a coaster, James and the park worked out a deal so Cedar Point could support the foundation.

-- First drop is 137 feet down
-- Includes three floorless trains, which hold 32 riders each
-- The track is 3,900 feet long
