MANSFIELD, Ohio— The Richland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman was kidnapped from her home and held for days in southern Ohio.

The victim’s ex-boyfriend took her from her Possum Run Road house on Friday, the sheriff’s office said. While at the suspect’s house in Kettering, Ohio, the 28-year-old woman was physically and sexually assaulted.

The suspect returned the victim to her own home Monday evening. That’s when she called police.

She was treated and released from Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.

Police searched the 34-year-old suspect’s house just outside of Dayton and discovered evidence related to the victim’s allegations. The sheriff’s office said officers also found drugs.

Kettering police arrested the man on drug charges.
