CLEVELAND– The city of Cleveland continues to receive praise for its role as host for the Republican National Convention last week.

The four-day convention brought in thousands of visitors, from delegates to members of the media to political insiders.

Two alternate delegates from Parsons, Kansas were so impressed with the city, they sent the following letter to FOX 8 News:

My wife and I attended the RNC last week, and were alternate delegates from Kansas.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for being such an amazing host city.  There was a volunteer at every turn and you even had volunteers giving us water at the airport as we left.

If your goal was to make us feel welcome, at home and wanted, you 100% did that.

While we did have some free time to eat at area restaurants, I wish we could have frequented more, I’m sorry if restaurant revenue was less than expected.

You can rest assured though that with the way we were treated, and the beauty of the city AND its people, Cleveland is on the “must return to” list of many of us.

Thanks again,

Don and Jane Alexander
