CLEVELAND – In exactly one year, the city of Cleveland will be in the center of the international spotlight.

The Republican National Convention kicks off July 18, 2016. That’s when the GOP will choose a presidential nominee.

Security is expected to be among the tightest that Northeast Ohio has ever seen.

The first presidential debate will take place here in Cleveland on August 6 at 9 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena.

FOX 8 News Reporter Kevin Freeman has an update in the video above on how the tight security might impact people who live, work and visit downtown.
