CLEVELAND – Local pastor Darrell Scott gave a powerful speech on the third night of the Republican National Convention.

Scott, who is from Cleveland Heights, started the New Spirit Revival Center February 14, 1994 and it has grown over the years.

Scott spoke about the diversity in America and said that Donald Trump can bring the country back together again.

America is a melting pot, a country of diversity: we stand poised to make history: by standing together as Americans, as one. We are here as Americans regardless of race, creed, or color. We are here as those who hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, and that we are endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, and among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Scott received a standing ovation several times during his speech.

“I believe nothing will prevent Donald Trump from doing everything in his power to create an America that everyone can be proud of. He believes, as do you and as do I that we can become great again, and we can become strong again, if we have strong leadership…and I can think of no stronger leader than Donald Trump.”
