CLEVELAND – It just wouldn’t be summer without the world-famous Cleveland Orchestra’s annual free concert and fireworks show on Public Square.

This year brings even more of a festive atmosphere to the show, since Public Square is newly renovated and the concert will be the first big event held in the revamped space. And, this year, the concert and fireworks are being held as part of the RNC 2016 Host Committee’s Community Thank You Party, which begins Friday,  July 29th.

The concert will begin at 9 p.m., but the food trucks and fun will start around 6 p.m. after set-up is complete. The music will end at around 10:15 p.m. and the fireworks will start then. Music selections include a George Gershwin medley, songs from The Sound Of Music, The Battle Hymn of the Republic and The Stars and Stripes Forever.

On Saturday, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will be free to the public. It will be open from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

The Community Thank You Party will be held Saturday on Public Square from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. There will be live entertainment, children’s activities, giveaways and free ice cream.
