CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Cavaliers and Rock Ventures are asking the City of Cleveland to approve the installation of a huge LED banner on the roof of The Q, promoting Quicken Loans Arena from above.
“I think it’s a good idea, I think it’s good for the city, it gives them more exposure as a company and I feel like Quicken Loans has a pretty good company downtown,” said one fan.
“Anything they can do to promote downtown Cleveland is going to be beneficial,” said a woman from Lake County.
The Cavs hope that if approved in time, the banner could be completed by May.
That would be in time for the NBA Eastern Conference finals and the Republican National Convention in July. It would not be visible from the ground, but would be prominently displayed in aerial shots during both major events.
