NEW YORK-Officials say a glitch in the computer system that checks passenger names against a terror watch list caused major delays in New York and other international airports.

Federal officials say the Homeland Security Department’s computer system went down for about 90 minutes last night. Customs and Border Protection said in a statement there was no indication the service disruption was malicious in nature.

But it’s not clear what caused the problem.
