PITTSBURGH, Penn. (WJW) – Former Buckeye and NFL player Terrelle Pryor Sr. is in critical condition after a stabbing in Pittsburgh.
According to the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, Pryor, 30, was stabbed around 4:30 a.m. Saturday at the Heinz Lofts apartment complex in Pittsburgh.
Police say he incurred his injuries during an altercation.
A woman, identified as 24-year-old Shalaya Briston, was also injured during the incident.
Both were arrested. Briston faces charges of aggravated assault and criminal attempt homicide. Pryor faces a charge of simple assault.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Pryor underwent surgery this morning and is in critical condition. Schefter reports Pryor was stabbed in the shoulder and chest.

An agent for Pryor says the NFL wide receiver’s family has been told he is expected to make a full recovery after being stabbed.
Gregory Diulus of Vantage Management Group said Saturday that relatives are with Pryor at the hospital.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports those close to Pryor believe that he will survive the stabbing.

Pryor was the starting quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2008 to 2010. He was drafted in 2011 and played for multiple NFL teams, including the Cleveland Browns.
