Monday morning’s official low was -12, but many areas had temperatures lower than -20. The coldest was -26 in Saybrook.
This was the coldest morning low since 2009 and broke the record of -8 set in 1904. It’s the second coldest low temperature after Feb. 15 since 1963. The coldest temp last winter was -11.
