CLEVELAND (WJW) – Two ramps closed at I-480 and I-77 Thursday.
The closures include the ramp from I-77 south to I-480 east and the I-480 eastbound ramp to I-77 north.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, a vehicle with an oversized load went off its permitted route while carrying a large piece of equipment. The truck was headed on I-480 east to I-77 northbound when it struck the overhead I-77 bridge.
Bridge inspectors responded to make sure the bridge is safe.
The ramps are closed for cleanup.
