A 54-year-old Parma man has been indicted on numerous charges related to possessing and pandering child pornography.

According to the office of Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason, Dave Kerekes was indicted on 40 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor as well as two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material following a February 24th arrest.

Mason’s office shared information with Fox 8 News regarding an investigation which began in December of last year into a peer-to-peer file sharing program. The program allowed for the sharing of pornographic images and video of children to be shared.

The investigation discovered that an IP address originating from Kerekes’ home was sharing the files. Prosecutors say some of the videos were saved to a CD and shared since November 2005.

A search warrant was executed at Kerekes’ home and members of the Ohio ICAC Task Force seized three computer hard drives, 45 external hard drives, and several thousand CDs.

Authorities also seized seven firearms from the home.

Kereke’s arraignment on the charges is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on March 19, 2012.
