NEWBURY, Ohio — A pro-life display at a Newbury Township church was destroyed overnight.

Vandals kicked over 144 crosses on the lawn at St. Helen’s Church, 12060 Kinsman Road. They also ripped down a banner.

Lt. John Hiscox, of the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office, said it appears to be a vandalism by kids and not a hate crime incident.

Hiscox said there appears to be about $500 in damage.

It’s the third time vandals have hit the traveling pro-life exhibit that is meant to raise awareness when it comes to abortion.

Police have no suspects.
