ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (WJW) — The reward for information in the murders of two people in the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation last fall has increased to $100,000.

Kate Brown, 33, and Carnell Sledge, 40, were sitting on a riverside bench at around 5:15 p.m. on June 4, 2019, when they were each shot in their heads, and the killer vanished.

In October, the FBI increased the available reward to a total of $30,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Several tips have come in, but no arrests have yet been made.

Brown’s sister, Alex, and father, Tom, announced at a press conference Wednesday that personal family contributions have raised the reward to $100,000.

“We strongly believe someone out there has heard or seen something,” said Tom. “We hope this reward…will give someone the courage and encourage them to come forward with that key piece of information. With your help we will find justice for Kate and Nell.”
