PLYMOUTH, N.H. -Republican John Kasich says he will balance the federal budget within eight years if he's elected president.

It's part of a sweeping domestic agenda Kasich is unveiling today.

The Ohio governor's plan includes tax cuts for businesses and the wealthy, a big boost in military spending and the end of the federal role in handing out education and transportation dollars.

Of his tax cuts for the rich, Kasich says, "If you are a person that thinks you ought to pound the rich into submission, I guess you won't like the plan.
