Pregnant Woman Trapped in Vehicle Forced Off Road

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio — Police are looking for a driver who went left of center forcing another car, containing a man and a pregnant woman, off the road.

When North Ridgeville officers responded to the crash, they found a Mercury Topaz upside down in a ditch with the pregnant woman trapped inside.

She was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.  Her condition is unknown.

The male driver had already been able to free himself and was not seriously injured.

According to the North Ridgeville Police Department, the man and woman were headed west on Sugar Ridge Road shortly after 8 p.m. on Wednesday when an oncoming car swerved into their lane.

The victims, whose names were not released at the time of this report, were forced off the road and lost control as the other driver left the scene.
