CLEVELAND, Ohio — All Cleveland Metropolitan School District buildings are back in business.
As many as 24 schools were closed at times last week due to widespread power outages from damage associated with Superstorm Sandy.
But district officials announced Sunday night all its schools have power, and will be in session Monday.
About 288,000 FirstEnergy customers in the Cleveland area lost power as a result of the storm. As of Sunday afternoon, more than 3,100 remained without power. For a list of those communities and estimated restoration times, click here.
Meanwhile, Cleveland Public Power officials announced Sunday that all of their known power outages had been restored, and crews were dispatched to assist FirstEnergy.
