Power outages in Bainbridge Township after wires catch fire

BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio– Hundreds of people were in the dark in Bainbridge Township.

Police said wires caught on fire and fell to the ground Wednesday morning. Bainbridge Road is closed between Chagrin River and Geauga Lake  until further notice.

According to FirstEnergy, more than 1,400 customers were without power as of 8:30 a.m. That number was down to 78 later in the morning.
