STREETSBORO, Ohio — A routine traffic stop early Wednesday morning revealed much more than a driving violation, police tell Fox 8 News.
Just after midnight, Streetsboro officers pulled over a car driven by 19-year-old Samantha Ehlert, of Willowick, on SR 14 near Mondial Pkwy., for a registration violation.
When officers discovered her license was suspended, they searched the car.
That’s when about a pound of marijuana and a plastic bag filled with $9,000 cash were found under one of the seats, a police report said.
Ehlert, along with her passenger, 22-year-old Robert Webb, of Willowick, were arrested and charged with felony possession of drugs and drug trafficking.
Both are being held in the Portage County Jail awaiting their arraignment.
