NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — A male is being held by North Olmsted police in connection with a body that was found Saturday underneath the West 25th Street bridge.
According to a news release, North Olmsted detectives were contacted by the Cleveland Police Department Monday to try to identify the deceased male.
While investigating, North Olmsted detectives received word that a resident — a male — may have caused the victim’s death, which they believe occurred in their city.
That male was being interviewed late Monday evening, and has not yet been charged. His name has not been released.
Investigators with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation were captured by FOX 8 cameras removing items from a home on Kennedy Ridge Road late Monday night.
Cleveland homicide detectives on Saturday were called to Wildlife Way and Pearl Road after a body was found underneath a bridge in an area near the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Police stressed, however, that the incident was not connected in any way with the Zoo itself.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet identified the deceased male, or determined his cause of death.
