Possible Serial Bank Robber in North Canton

NORTH CANTON, Ohio — Authorities are searching for a bank robbery suspect they say walked off with a pocketful of cash Friday evening.

The robbery occurred at about 6:02 p.m. at the Huntington National Bank inside a Giant Eagle grocery store at 1955 Easton Street N.E. in North Canton. Police say the suspect approached a teller demanding $100, $50 and $20 bills with no die packs via a handwritten note. He also told the teller he had a gun and placed his hand on his waist twice, though authorities say no gun was ever produced.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

North Canton police say the suspect is about 30 to 35-years-old and approximately 5’10” and 175 lbs. The suspect was wearing a white polo with black or dark blue horizontal stripes, black shoes and a black cap.

Police also say the suspect may be responsible for at least four other bank robberies in the North Canton area.
