ASHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — A portion of Interstate 71 south was closed in Ashland County due to an accident involving two semis Friday morning. The left two lanes of the highway are now open.
The crash happened just south of state Route 302.
Fox 8’s Patty Harken reports one of the semis burst into flames. The fire is out, and there are no reported injuries.
Ashland County: I-71 SB, at the 191 mm, is closed due to a crash. Emergency personnel are on scene. Crews are working to set up a detour. No estimated time as to when the road will reopen. Motorists are advised to seek and alternate route and to avoid the area. pic.twitter.com/bSpkQ7DaKY
