LOUDONVILLE, Ohio — A woman is charged with murder in the death of her boyfriend, whom police say was stabbed multiple times Saturday night in Holmes County.

According to a news release from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, 911 dispatchers received a call just after 10:30 p.m.  Saturday from 43-year-old Bobbi Amos-Camacho, stating that her boyfriend, 42-year-old James Rowe, Jr., had cut himself while sharpening a knife.

Deputies and EMS responded to a residence in the 7500 block of CR 22, where they found Rowe lying face up and not breathing on a bed, the release stated.

Attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful; he was pronounced dead at a nearby medical helicopter landing zone.

An investigation later revealed that Rowe was allegedly killed by multiple stab wounds to the torso and arm.  The Stark County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy.

Amos-Camacho was questioned by the sheriff’s office, then arrested and booked into the Holmes County Jail on one count of murder.

She will remain there until her court appearance in Holmes County Municipal Court.

Further details were not immediately released.
