BATH TWP., Ohio -- Police in Bath Twp. are concerned about a man who has created several disturbances during the busy holiday shopping season.

Bath Police Chief Michael McNeely says he and his officers first confronted the man when they were called to a T.J. Maxx store on Route 18 by the store's managers.

"He was approaching customers left and right in the store, disturbing them. He was also picking up objects.  He had one sharp object, he was pretending he was stabbing himself.  When we encountered him, he was back looking at the hourglass, studying the granules as they fell," said McNeely.

McNeely said the man was very conversational but became clearly more agitated when he realized they were asking him to leave the store.

"He realized as he got to the threshold of the store that they were putting him out. He became angry. We had to become more forceful in our speech to him and he left that day," said the chief.

Police say several days later they were called to a nearby Acme Supermarket where a customer, who recognized him from T.J. Maxx, says the same man exposed himself to her.

"She was just shopping and he just picked her out at random, didn't realize that she was one of the employees from T.J. Maxx, approached her and exposed himself," said McNeely.

The man left the store before police arrived.

Police believe the man rides into the Fairlawn, Montrose, and Bath Twp. areas on a bus from Akron and wanders the stores.

McNeely says they are working on getting a warrant for his arrest.
