NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — As the investigation progressed on Friday, details slowly emerged about a how a teen died before his body was found in the road.

The victim was identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office as Bruce-Malik Wayne Adams, 15, of North Olmsted.

Police said he was hit by a car.

Authorities were alerted around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, after Adams was discovered on Brookpark Road in North Olmsted near the Target and Walmart entrances.

The stretch of road between Columbia and Great Northern Boulevard was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Because there were no witnesses and Adams was not carrying an ID, it was difficult at first to determine what happened.
