Police: RTA Passengers Hit Driver

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio – An RTA bus driver was hit by two passengers on Thursday, Shaker Heights police confirmed.

The incident happened on the #40 route in Shaker Heights around 5 p.m.

Police said the men, who didn’t have fare, left through the front entrance of the bus only to return by using the back entrance.

They allegedly each hit the driver once before leaving for good.

The driver, whose injuries were not immediately known, was treated at the scene on Chagrin Boulevard and Lee Road.
