CARROLLTON, TX – At 9:22 p.m. on September 22, 2016, Sgt. Todd Burnside of the Carrollton, Texas police responded to a noise complaint.

Upon arriving at the location, he found a group of men in the parking lot of an apartment building.

But they weren’t up to anything suspicious.

“Are you a group?” asked Burnside.

“Yeah, we’re all a group,” said David Opegbemi. “It’s my wedding.”

They were simply practicing their dance moves to surprise David’s bride on their wedding day. Sgt. Burnside couldn’t resist asking for a preview of the performance, and they obliged, to the Temptations classic “My Girl.”

And it was all caught on the sergeant’s body cam!

All the hard work – four weeks’ worth –  paid off for the guys. Opegbemi’s bride, Tiera, was very impressed.

“It was definitely a success,” said Opegbemi to ABC News. “The look on my wife’s face was magical. She was smiling and cheering the whole time.”

The police department put it on their Facebook page and thousands of others have agreed since then: definitely a success!
