UNIVERSITY CIRCLE, Ohio- The University Circle Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a person of interest who was possibly involved in the theft that occurred at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
Police were called to the museum last Thursday after staff members found a number of gems missing from the gem room. Authorities say the theft happened sometime between Thursday afternoon and closing time.
The gems are valued at roughly $81,000.
Police said the suspect may drive a dark colored Jeep Wrangler with a lighter colored top and spare tire mounted on the rear of the Jeep.
