BATH TWP., Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol released the name of the man killed in a rollover accident in Bath Twp. on Monday.

Lawrence Turner, 53, of Akron, was pronounced dead at the crash scene on State Route 18 at Hametown Road.

According to the OSHP, a man driving a 2007 Ford F150 truck south on Hametown Road did not yield at a stop sign before making a left turn onto SR18.

Turner was traveling west on SR 18 in his 2006 GMC Sierra when he was struck by the other vehicle around 5 p.m.

The collision caused Turner’s car to overturn.

Police temporarily closed SR18 at Hametown Road after the accident, but it was reopened around 7:30 p.m.

Both people were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, OHSP said, but it is not known if alcohol was a factor.
