SOLON, Ohio — Police are looking for a man suspected of stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, mainly energy drinks, from area retailers.

According to an alert from Solon police, about $500 worth of 5-Hour Energy drinks was taken from a WalMart in Springfield Township. It happened at just before 8 p.m. on Oct. 7.

On Nov. 7 at just before 8 p.m. there was another attempted theft at a WalMart in Brimfield. Over $2,000 in items were recovered, and the suspect fled on foot.

Then, on Nov. 8 at just before 9 p.m., a suspect took over $400 in 5-Hour Energy drinks from a Giant Eagle in Solon. The suspect used gift bags obtained from the sales floor in the theft, police say.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s. He is about 6’0″ tall and weighs around 180 pounds. He has brown hair and was wearing a black North Face jacket.

He drives a newer burnt orange Jeep Patriot with luggage rails on the top.

Police say he’s known to have a driver waiting after some of the thefts.
