Police: Man stabbed in throat during fight

CLEVELAND – A man was rushed to the hospital after he was cut in the throat by another man Saturday night.

According to police, Eric Beck, 21, was stabbed by Ronald Wall, 39, on E. 38th Street.

Beck was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.

A preliminary investigation shows that Beck was involved in a fight with Wall when the stabbing occurred.

Wall was on the scene when police arrived and was arrested. He suffered a broken jaw in the fight.

Wall was also taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment, before being taken to jail.

Beck was not arrested for the assault on Wall because of the extent of his injuries. He is listed in stable condition at the hospital.

Police are continuing their investigation into the assault.
