WESTLAKE, Ohio — A Westlake man faces several charges for allegedly nailing a door shut to keep his wife from leaving their residence.
Police say David Huffman, 55, was arrested at his residence on Columbia Road after a report of a domestic disturbance at approximately 7:19 p.m. on Dec. 3. Officers say when they arrived Hoffman fought with three arresting officers, reportedly kicking one in the leg. The front door was also nailed shut, and Hoffman’s 57-year-old wife was inside the home.
Hoffman is facing several charges, including domestic violence, unlawful restraint, resisting arrest and three counts of assault on a police officer. Several weapons were also reportedly removed from the home.
