VERO BEACH, Florida – Florida officials are working to find the owners of two severely neglected bulldog puppies.
“As animal advocates, The Humane Society and Vero Beach Police Department will do everything possible to seek justice for these animals,” Humane Society Executive Director Chalmers Morse said.
The five-month-old female puppies were found by two good Samaritans after they wandered onto the Vero Beach Country Club’s golf course. The are both currently being treated for mange and starvation.
There is currently a criminal investigation ongoing as police actively search for the owner of the dogs.
Anyone wishing to donate to help provide care to the puppies can call the humane society at (772) 388-3826.
