CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a carjacking that took place early Sunday morning on the city’s west side.

A 24-year-old man was driving south on West 58th Street around 6 a.m. when he reached the light at Lorain Avenue.

According to a police report, three people approached.  One of them had a gun and ordered him out of the vehicle.

The victim said one of the people went through his pockets while he was held at gunpoint.

After taking the valuables, the people got into the car and headed westbound on Lorain Avenue.

The victim walked to an open business and called police and his father, who owned the vehicle, to file a stolen vehicle statement.
