CLEVELAND — An argument between two men turned deadly early Tuesday morning on the city’s east side, Fox 8 News reports.
It happened in the 14600 block of Lakeshore Boulevard just before 3 a.m.
Cleveland police say they were called there for a report of a man screaming. Once there, officers found three people in an apartment: a man, woman and an unresponsive 41-year-old man.
Cleveland EMS took the unresponsive man to Euclid Hospital, where he later died.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified him as Melvin Jackson.
Investigators believe a verbal fight turned physical between the two men and resulted in Jackson being fatally strangled.
A 57-year-old man has been arrested.
An official cause of death will be determined by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.
