MARBLEHEAD, Ohio– Police in Marblehead received a call on Saturday, March 23, that a man and woman inside of Avery’s Cafe on Main Street were making threats against the President of the United States.
The caller informed police the two said they were heading to Washington, D.C. to make some things straight. He also stated that the couple seemed very unstable and his staff feared they may follow through with the threats toward the president.
Some people advised police that the male suspect had stated that he was going to “kill Obama and take him down.”
Police said as they were running the couple’s license plates, a border patrol agent drove by and stopped to help.
The United States Secret Service was then notified. They said they wanted to speak with the couple.
Police then placed both the male and female suspect in handcuffs.
During a search of the truck, police said they found a .22 caliber rifle with the barrel detached. They also found a small bag full of .22 and .38 caliber rounds.
Six pill bottles of oxycodone were also allegedly found.
Police said the male suspect kept stating he was the illegitimate son of the late President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Documents found in the vehicle seemed to prove that.
Agents from the United States Secret Service met them at the border patrol headquarters to interview the suspects.
