Cleveland Police: body found under West 25th Street bridge

CLEVELAND – Cleveland homicide detectives were called out to a location near Wildlife Way and Pearl Roads Saturday for reports of a body found. The body was found underneath a bridge in an area near the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Police stressed however, that the incident was not connected in any way with the Zoo itself.

Police confirm that detectives are investigating the death of a man, but had no other information to give out.

The investigation will not impact Zoo events or traffic in and out of the Zoo. In fact, the Zoo released this statement:

The Cleveland Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred under the West 25th Street Bridge.
This incident is not connected with Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in any way. The investigation should not affect traffic into or out of the Zoo in any way.
All events scheduled for this weekend, including Boo at the Zoo, will proceed as planned.
